Submit Photographs for Scanning and Printing
FinerWorks is once again offering customers the option to submit hard
copy photos for scanning and printing. Before submitting photos to
be scanned and printed, you will need to complete
the order
process.
Where to send your photographs will be located on your
final receipt page.
Scanning / Setup Cost
The cost for printing is the same (see our pricing
page) however there is a $15 scanning fee for each photograph you
want scanned. You will only be charged once per photos scanned so you
can order multiple prints from the single scan. In addition we will
keep the image
on
file for
2 months.
Photo Requirements
- Photograph is no larger than 11 x 14"
- Photograph is removed from any frames
- Photograph is free from major damage (unless ordering restoration
service)
Here is How it Works
- Click on the “Create a
Print” button in the top menu.
- Choose the option “Submit Photograph to be Scanned”
- Follow
the necessary ordering steps
- Add it to your cart and checkout.
- Mail your photograph with your order number to the address below:

Important Tips & Information
Old Photos - For old photos, while FinerWorks offers a number of canvas
and paper choices, the Premium Matte Canvas is the recommended option.
Aspect - When choosing the size, select a size that will be of similar
shape of the photo you will have FinerWorks scan. For example, if the
photograph
is shaped like a square, then choose or enter a square size for your
print.
Enlarging - Keep in mind enlarging photos to an extreme is not recommended.
An 8 x 10 may make and excellent 16 x 20 but a scan of a wallet size
it
not
going to be be good enough for any sort of reproduction unless you are
planning on painting over the print. If you want special touch up work
done on a photograph or us to make it look like a painting, contact
us with details.
Color Matching - Not all colors may be reproducible dependent upon
the media you choose. Notice of Liability
FinerWorks does not accept responsibility for lost or damaged photos
as a result of omissions or actions on the part of the shipping service.
Customers should insure photographs they mail in for scanning.

Photo Restorations
Contact FinerWorks first if you believe the photograph will require
substantial restoration work. FinerWorks will attempt to remove minute
dust and scratches from the scanned version of the image and will crop
the image to the print size you ordered.
