Laszlo Regos

Laszlo Regos Photography
Farmington Hills, MI

Growing up in a small Budapest apartment, the artist's father ignited a passion for photography within them by creating magic in their makeshift photo lab. Inspired by this experience, they pursued a degree in chemistry at the Technical University of Budapest, eventually earning an M.S. in photochemistry. This led to a career at Forte Photochemical Industries, where they worked as the technical manager of the photo processing lab while harboring dreams of becoming a professional photographer.

In 1979, seeking political and artistic freedom, the artist defected to the US and opened their own studio specializing in architectural photography after gaining experience in a professional photo lab. Despite the transition from film to digital photography, they continue to uphold the same disciplines learned in their early days. With over 30 years of experience, they have photographed various architectural genres, with a specialty in retail photography. Their work has been featured in numerous publications and books, including monographs on iconic landmarks such as the Budapest Opera House and the Dohany Street Synagogue.

Having held exclusive exhibitions in both the US and Europe, the artist's photography can be found adorning the walls of countless private homes and offices. Their expertise in wall decor is showcased in a video featuring their work, demonstrating how their prints can enhance any space. For those looking to elevate their home or office decor with stunning architectural photography, purchasing prints from this talented artist is a must.
